Training - Experience Focussed Counselling
efc part 1 - 2 days
In this workshop, theoretical and practical principles are taught in the application of the <LINK www.workingtorecovery.co.uk/shop/working-with-voices-victim-to-victor-workbook _blank - "Stimmenhören verstehen und bewältigen">„Working with Voices“</link> (Coleman und Smith) workbook.
efc part 2 - 2 days
The application of the <LINK file:110 _blank>Maastricht Hearing Voices Interview</link> and the Maastricht Hearing Voices report is imparted in theory and practice in this workshop. Central foundation of this workshop is <LINK shop.mind.org.uk/shop/books/386_making_sense_of_voices _blank - "Stimmenhören verstehen (Romme und Escher 2008)">"Making Sense of Voices"</link> (Romme und Escher, 2000).
efc part 3 - 2 days
In this final workshop, the systematic decoding process to understand who and what the voices represent is the subject of enquiry. Establishing a construct in theory and practice helps in this process. Foundation for this workshop is again "<LINK shop.mind.org.uk/shop/books/386_making_sense_of_voices _blank>Making Sense of Voices</link>" (Romme & Escher, 2000).
efc part 4 - 2 days
Introduction to the theory and practice of constructive dialoguing with voices. This training can either part of the basic training or it can be organised separately. Central foundations for this part are both practice experience as well as the application of insights from Voice Dialogue according to Hal & Sidra Stone (a type of work with personality parts, which can contribute to an improvement of relationships in both voice hearers and non-voice hearers).
Training is normally provided by Dr Joachim Schnackenberg, Senait Debesay and Christian Feldmann (in Switzerland) or with Oana-Mihaela Iusco (in Germany and Austria).
efc Voice dialogue workshop
This workshop does not form part of the three-part basic training. In this workshop theoretical and practical foundations on voice dialogue are imparted to participants. The efc Institute will normally seek to offer these workshops in collaboration with <LINK www.hearingvoicesmaastricht.eu _blank>Dr. Corstens</link> or <LINK www.rufusmay.com _blank>Dr. May</link>, as they are two of the leading professionals in this area worldwide.
Shorter training can last between 2 hours and 2 days and can be tailored to the individul needs of an organisation. These shorter trainings are often favoured by organisations which prefer to have an overview of the efc approach to start off with. These shorter trainings can potentially be conducted by 1 or 2 efc trainers only.
Insights into the nature of efc work
Get to know us in a short training session. We would also be happy to come to your facility for a lecture or an informational event. You will get an insight into our work and can then decide to organize an internal training in your institution. You are also welcome to get to know us at one of our training courses in Hanover.
